An Arkansas Family Vacation
Is Your Diamond In The Rough Of Family Vacations!

I hate to keep repeating myself but taking an Arkansas Family Vacation could include visiting a State Park where you can search for diamonds AND keep the diamonds you find! WOW!

Of course it's not all about the diamonds. It's a great state for other family fun stuff to do. From Touring Caverns and Forested Mountain Trails to Art Galleries and Civil War Battlefields an Arkansas Family Vacation is a one of a kind.

Also it's home to U.S. President Bill Clinton and you can find the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Some Arkansas "Did You Knows"

Arkansas is the 29th biggest state in the USA. It became the 25th state as of June 15th, 1836. Its State Nickname is "The Natural State", State Bird is the Mockingbird, State Mammal is the White-Tailed Deer, State Tree is the Pine and State Gem is the Diamond. It also has a State Instrument which is the Fiddle.

Natural Beauty & Outdoor Fun

An Arkansas Family Vacation would be a vacation filled with natural beauty and outdoor fun.

In Northern Arkansas (The Ozarks Region) you'll find the Arkansas Air Museum, where you'll find vintage aircraft. On the nature side you'll find the Blanchard Springs Caverns which is rated as one of the most beautiful underground discoveries of the 20th century. With lighted walkways you'll see some amazing cavern views.

In the Arkansas River Valley just south west of the Ozarks Region you'll find the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad. You can take a 134-mile trip on restored vintage cars. Also in the same area you'll find Mount Magazine State Park where you can hang glide, rock climb, go horseback riding, camp out and more.

In the Ouachitas Region, just south of the River Valley Region you'll find Crater of Diamonds State Park. This is where North America's largest diamond, a whopping 40.23 carats was found. Also over 70,000 other diamonds have been found there. Again you can dig for diamonds and keep what you find. In this same region you'll find Hot Springs National Park, a great place to relax after digging for diamonds.

Arkansas offers a total of six different regions all with outdoor family fun which makes an Arkansas Family Vacation one of the best when it comes to nature and natural beauty.

With 9000 miles of streams and rivers and its many beautiful lakes you'll find that water fun is all around from fishing to canoeing, rafting and kayaking.

In the not so distant future you'll find links here that will take you to detailed family fun spots in Arkansas. Also pages about lodging and and more fun stuff that is just right for a family getaway. So before heading to the nearest theme park in your state think about Diamond Hunting as part of a fun Arkansas Family Vacation.
