Put Fun Into Learning To Read & Write!

Educational Phonics Games can take learning phonics out of the classroom and into everyday home life! Phonics can be hard for some children and by playing phonics games at home or on vacation it's showing them that learning how to read and write can be fun and educational!

Educational Phonics Games

  • Learning Resources Snap It Up Phonics and Reading Card Game, Word Families

    Recommended for ages – 6-10.

    A challenging game for young spellers but it does help them to improve spelling and reading. At first you can go slow and show them how to make words by putting the cards together. Great for kids who are starting to learn to spell. For kids who are spelling already this game helps kids with reading and spelling practice in the form of a fast action card game. Basically you pick and pass cards as fast as you can in order to spell words. This game comes with 90 cards so there are plenty of words to spell out.

  • Parts Of Speech Bingo

    Recommended for ages 5 and Up.

    This is a fun game for kids who are just learning to read. It is easy enough for them to figure out the words as they are pretty simple and the pictures help word association. Kids of all ages will enjoy this game, a great twist on the game of bingo and definitely a game that helps kids to read and spell. Bingo is always one of the more fun educational phonics games.

  • Phonics Strips – Beginning Consonants

    Recommended for ages 5 and Up.

    Phonics Strips work great with kids that are having a hard time with consonants and for kids that are picking phonics up pretty quickly these strips are great practice. Basically each strip focus on one consonant sound. For example : "S" words and pictures would be Sun/Sock/Saw/Seal. "B" words and pictures are Ball/Bat/Bed/Bus. The strip has one starting "Letter" sound. Then you must match 3 more tiles that begin with the same sound by placing them on the strip also.

  • Action Phonics Cards

    Recommended for ages 5 and Up.

    This is not so much an educational phonics game as it is teaching material. Great for kids who are schooled at home and for parents who just want to add some extra learning for their kids. In the Action Phonics Cards package you'll get 88 colored phonics cards that covers initial consonants, final consonants, vowels and consonant and vowel digraphs. Also you'll get 4 worksheets for students that are reproducible and for teachers it comes with 4 overhead transparencies for total classroom participation.

  • A-Z Magnetic Learning Pictures

    Recommended for ages – young children.

    These magnets are perfect for children who are around 2 years and older. Although since these are magnets with the size of 2 inches by 2 inches they may not be suitable for young children to play with. There are 26 magnets in all that are vinyl coated with vibrant colored pictures for children to learn initial letter sounds, phonics and identification. These would work wonderfully on refrigerators.

  • Consonants, Blends And Digraphs Puzzles

    Recommended for ages 5-9.

    These puzzles help kids by having them form puzzles that put two parts of a word together. For example on one side of the puzzle piece are the letters, "SN" on the opposite piece they must find are the letters "OW". There is also a coordinating picture on this 2-piece puzzle. By finding the two matching pieces they spell out the word "SNOW" and it forms the whole picture of a snowman. These puzzles will help in the development of reading, spelling and language skills. There are 30 puzzles in all sized 4 1/2 inches by 3/4 inches.
